nottoexceedthelimitsforexposuretoradiofrequency(RF)recommendedby

internationalguidelines(ICNIRP).Theselimitsarepartofcomprehensiveguidelinesand

establishpermittedlevelsofRFenergyforthegeneralpopulation.

Theguidelinesweredevelopedbyindependentscientificorganisationsthroughperiodic

andthoroughevaluationofscientificstudies.Theguidelinesincludeasubstantialsafety

margindesignedtoassurethesafetyofallpersons,regardlessofageorhealth.

Theexposurestandardformobiledevicesemploysaunitofmeasurementknownas

theSpecificAbsorptionRate,orSAR.TheSARlimitstatedintheinternationalguidelines

is2.0W/kg*.TestsforSARareconductedusingstandardoperatingpositionswiththe

devicetransmittingatitshighestcertifiedpowerlevelinalltestedfrequencybands.

AlthoughtheSARisdeterminedatthehighestcertifiedpowerlevel,theactualSAR

ofthedevicewhileoperatingcanbewellbelowthemaximumvalue.Thisisbecause

thedeviceisdesignedtooperateatmultiplepowerlevelssoastouseonlythepower

requiredtoreachthenetwork.Ingeneral,thecloseryouaretoabasestation,thelower

thepoweroutputofthedevice.

Beforeaphonemodelisavailableforsaletothepublic,compliancewiththeEuropean

R&TTEdirectivemustbeshown.Thisdirectiveincludesasoneessentialrequirement

theprotectionofthehealthandthesafetyfortheuserandanyotherperson.

ThisdevicemeetsRFexposureguidelineswhenusedeitherinthenormaluseposition

againsttheearorwhenpositionedatleast1.5cmawayfromthebody.Whena

carrycase,beltcliporholderisusedforbody-wornoperation,itshouldnotcontain

metalandshouldpositiontheproductatleast1.5cmawayfromyourbody.Inorder

totransmitdatafilesormessages,thisdevicerequiresaqualityconnectiontothe

network.Insomecases,transmissionofdatafilesormessagesmaybedelayeduntil

suchaconnectionisavailable.Ensuretheaboveseparationdistanceinstructionsare

followeduntilthetransmissioniscompleted.
