1. Do wireless phones pose a health hazard?
Theavailablescienticevidencedoesnotshowthatanyhealthproblems
areassociatedwithusingwirelessphones.Thereisnoproof,however,that
wirelessphonesareabsolutelysafe.WirelessphonesemitlowlevelsofRadio
Frequency(RF)energyinthemicrowaverangewhilebeingused.Theyalso
emitverylowlevelsofRFwheninstandbymode.WhereashighlevelsofRF
canproducehealtheffects(byheatingtissue),exposuretolowlevelRFthat
doesnotproduceheatingeffectscausesnoknownadversehealtheffects.
ManystudiesoflowlevelRFexposureshavenotfoundanybiologicaleffects.
Somestudieshavesuggestedthatsomebiologicaleffectsmayoccur,butsuch
ndingshavenotbeenconrmedbyadditionalresearch.Insomecases,other
